I was born and raised in Fairfield, have been an RTM member for 6 years. The future of this town is extremely important to me. As a former small business owner, I recognize and can deal with different challenges. There was a severe lack of oversight by former administration that will end up costing the taxpayers of Fairfield tens of millions of dollars. That can’t happen. Now, certain people are screaming for local government transparency. Where were they a few years ago when town employees were ripping us off blind??? They either had their heads in the sand or were a part of the problem, neither of which is very comforting, to me or our taxpayers. A few of my Democratic colleagues on the RTM actually voted against the investigation into the fill pile scandal. Overcrowding has become a very important issue, especially in my District 8, which includes the center of town. Downtown traffic is out of control and we need to stop putting up more developments.
