I have a track record of advocating for the education budget. We have many hard decisions coming before us in the next few years, with many large capital expenditures on the horizon and we are going to have to prioritize them in order to serve the town, its residents and its students.
My biggest concerns are installation of AC in schools, the overhaul of the sewer system which may cost up to $170M, the installation of UI monopoles through downtown, the updating of our senior tax relief program, and the implementation of proper financial controls with respect to auditing, purchasing, and town credit card expenditures. Shoring up our financial controls is necessary in the wake of the fill pile scandal.
It would be an honor to serve my fourth term on the RTM.
