STATEMENT

 I am new to Fairfield and want to support the town to live to its full potential. I would like to represent constituent’s ideas and concerns by lending my voice to preserve our town’s character while planning for the future. I believe it’s time for a fresh voice and new perspectives.
 
I am an experienced educational leader with a tireless devotion to achieving goals. I have two daughters, both Virginia Tech graduates. The oldest is 30 years old and lives in FL. The youngest is 24 years old and lives in Fairfield.  I am a new grandmother to a beautiful grandson.
 
The most pressing issue for District 10 is the United Illuminating Transmission Line proposal. So far, I have attended both the community meeting at the Pequot Library and the United Illuminating Town Hall meeting. I will continue to advocate and support the community around their concerns with the project. Additionally, the overall concern of state law 8-30g and its impact on our town and the ability to maintain local control.
