Stephan is the son of immigrant parents, who instilled in him the values of family, education, community and hard work. His mother was a stay-at-home mom, and his father was a computer programmer, working a union job for the utility company. Stephan showed an aptitude for business at the early age of 13. He mowed lawns, shoveled snow and lifeguarded at the community pool though his teens, and also learned to give back to others by volunteering in the pediatric unit of the local hospital and teaching children how to swim.

Stephan’s professional career included leading teams at two of the world’s largest biopharmaceutical companies, providing breakthroughs in healthcare that changed patients’ lives. He continues to teach healthcare professionals ways patients can live healthier lives and access medicines that are safe, effective and affordable. Stephan is no stranger to managing finances as he leads a $380 Million business unit, and is effective at driving revenue growth while effectively managing expenses.

In 2017 Stephan and his husband Norman moved to Litchfield. The town drew them in because of its rich history, tradition, and beauty. The people were so welcoming, warm, and open that Litchfield is now the place they call home.

Stephan is an active member of the Litchfield community. Currently he is the Sr. Burgess for the Litchfield Borough, and serves as the leader/chair of the the Litchfield Republican Town Committee.
