I ran for the Litchfield Board of Education in 2017 with my main objective being to improve the quality of the school by seeking ways to collaborate with Region 6. We successfully negotiated a merger with Region 6 to form Region 20, and I have been actively serving for 15 months as Vice Chairman of the Region 20 Board.
That said, there are still eight months left in the existing Litchfield Public School life before it merges with Region 20, and the Litchfield students and their parents deserve the work of an experienced school board as they go through the last school year of the stand-alone Litchfield School system, and the Board needs to finalize the expenditures and audit of the current school year at year’s end.
I hope to be elected to finish the mission of the Region 6 merger with the help of the other dedicated members of the Litchfield School Board, staff, and teachers.
