BIOGRAPHY

• Litchfield resident for more than 40 years
• Father was born in small house in Bantam; our family has stayed in this area
• Served on the Planning and Zoning Commission for four years
• Member of the both Cable Advisory Board and the Statewide Video Council representing residents in both Hartford and Washington, DC for more than 20 years
• Telecom for over 10 years; Designed all the fiber system used in CT and worldwide for Video and Data transport, including patents on data transport
• Served in US Navy developing the first GPS navigation systems in all naval aircraft; Flight training on carriers with F14 and A6 aircraft
• Avionics Engineer at Sikorsky Flight Data Recorders, control systems and weapons systems
• Nuclear engineer on commercial and naval systems. Hands-on systems in Naval submarines and Aircraft carriers
• Power control systems with nearly 20 patents on GFCI systems
• Design for control and applications system for UV curing systems
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a second B.S. in Biology pre-med
• Married with three grown children that graduated from Litchfield schools and UCONN School of Engineering

STATEMENT

 I listen, learn, and do my best to help get the job done. I spent most of my life in this area and like to help keep it prosperous for our children. Nature is wonderful here with great people bringing something new every day. I do all I can to maintain the true character of Litchfield for all.

I have used my background to help the people in this area for their cable TV, data and now fiber transport design and support with user complaints. I have been Chairman of the CTAC for over 20 years and chairman of the Statewide Video Council when it first started over 15 years ago

I also serve on the broadband committee and led the path from the original of replacing Altice cable to the more useful emergency service and guest service with the FREE WIFI in town at the Firehouses and public places.

Currently serving on the Litchfield Planning and Zoning board, seeing re-election this year. Helped develop the plan to maintain the character of Litchfield and accommodate the needed growth without disrupting it.

I grew up on a family farm and ran it for over 40 years until my father passed. Seeing mini mansions on that land now is very difficult to accept. Being in P&Z allows me to do all I can to maintain farms, open spaces and maintain the natural beauty of Litchfield and I look forward to continuing that.
